Representatives selected to share industrial connectivity solutions enabling the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)
Kepware to Present IoT Use Cases and Innovations at Prominent Industrial Automation Conferences this Fall
Kepware Technologies, a PTC business developing industrial connectivity software, today announced that Kepware subject matter experts will present at Smart Industry 2016 and The Automation Fair this fall. Presentations will focus on topics central to industrial automation and connectivity for the Internet of Things (IoT), including real-world use cases.
Alex Herbert, Kepware Strategic Accounts Manager, will join Maicon Oliveira, Faurecia North America IT Industrial Support Manager, at the upcoming Smart Industry 2016 conference to share best practices for enabling the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The session, “When Technology Enables Collaboration: An IoT Case Study with Faurecia,” will be held on Tuesday, September 27 at The Drake Hotel in Chicago, Illinois. The session will explain how new visibility into manufacturing data from 330 facilities around the globe is allowing Faurecia to satisfy regulatory requirements and improve overall product quality for consumers.
Sam Elsner, Kepware Applications Engineer Manager, will present, “How do I decide? Communication Protocols for IoT and Industry,” at the upcoming Automation Fair hosted by Rockwell Automation. The session will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, November 9 and 10 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. This session will explore the open standards and protocols enabling the IIoT, detail the pros and cons of the request/response and publish/subscribe methods, and describe why use cases determine which method or protocol best suit a user’s needs.
“Kepware is firmly committed to advancing the enterprise-wide adoption of the IIoT and all that it promises,” said Tony Paine, Platform President, Kepware. “We’re honored to participate in these conferences, and look forward to sharing the best practices and strategic insights we’ve gathered through real-world IIoT implementations. We see this as an opportunity to speak and collaborate with influential industry leaders and help others leverage the benefits of smarter automation.”
